Thank you for your caring decision to adopt the Numbat, the West Australian animal emblem.
This endangered mammal from South-west Western Australia is threatened by loss of habitat through land clearing, fire and predation by feral predators including foxes and cats. As part of our Native Species Breeding Program, Perth Zoo has been breeding Numbats for release into protected habitats since 1993.
Your symbolic adoption will provide essential support to help take care of Numbats at Perth Zoo and protect threatened species from Australia and around the world.
Fun Fact: The numbat is a highly distinctive carnivorous marsupial. It isn't closely related to any living marsupial, but one of its closest relatives is the now-extinct thylacine or 'Tasmanian tiger'.
Please select your chosen adoption level to start your 12-month support of this ‘tiny tiger’ Australian species today.
If you are buying this adoption as a gift, please enter your own name and contact details (including email address) at checkout. A link will be included in your thank you email where you can advise of your gift recipient's details.
