Adopt the Koala

Thank you for supporting Perth Zoo with a symbolic adoption of the Koala, a mammal unique to Australia.

This endangered and protected mammal from eastern Australia is threatened by habitat destruction and bushfires. Koalas are safe when in trees, however, when moving along the ground they can be easily attacked by ground predators such as dingos. To escape, they will climb trees or scratch with their sharp claws.
